and it has never worked at all, though I don't receive any messages from my printer regarding it. I unplugged it to let it reset itself, but that didn't work. I feel like there is more ink in there, but my printer just keeps telling me to check the black cartridge. So I installed the 2nd black, and it quit at about the same time, more or less. The 1st black I installed in July and having a lot of experience with this item, I felt that it definitely did not last as long as a XL should, but every now and then things happen. I really hate to write this, but I had such bad luck with these 3 cartridges. Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2020 I paid more for an XL to get the ink of a normal cartridge. not worth it! At all! It's half what I was expecting. Already!!! That means I can print only about (let's be generous!) 150 pages. Used 2 ink cartridges and my second cartridge is running low. So either I got one that was not totally filled, or this really is not the best buy out there! And while the printer was working the ink indicator dropped to half full. There was maybe 3% ink coverage on the page. When I installed the new "XL" black cartridge, I printed 1 page that was a letter without very much text.
